Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, pages, and services provided by Lesson With You (“Lesson With You,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our site or submitting your information (including via Sign up with Google / Google One Tap), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who we are & what we do

Lesson With You operates an online platform that helps prospective students and parents connect with instructors for live music lessons. We focus on lead capture and scheduling; we do not create on-site customer accounts or store passwords for you.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the site. Parents/guardians may use the site to arrange lessons for their children. We discourage sign-ups directly from children and delete leads that appear to be from children without appropriate consent.

3. Using Google One Tap / “Sign up with Google”

If you continue with Google, Google provides us a token that includes your name and email. We verify it and use it to contact you about lessons and scheduling. No password is created on our site.

4. Communications; SMS & email

By submitting your information, you consent to us contacting you about lessons, scheduling, onboarding, and related services via email or phone/SMS (to the extent you opt in where required). Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP and opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.

5. Scheduling & third-party services

Scheduling may be facilitated by third-party tools (e.g., SimplyBook.me) and lessons may be conducted over video platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet (platform may vary by instructor). Those services are provided under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information and use the site only for lawful purposes;
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt the site or other users’ use of the site;
  • Do not attempt to bypass security features or collect data from the site without authorization.

7. No guarantees

We aim for a great experience but do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, improvement, or availability of a specific instructor, time slot, or platform.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the site (text, graphics, logos, layout) is owned by or licensed to Lesson With You and protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the site except as necessary to use it for its intended purpose.

9. Feedback & testimonials

If you submit feedback, reviews, or testimonials, you grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and display that content for marketing and product improvement, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

10. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share information (including through Google One Tap). Please review it carefully.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ANY RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LESSON WITH YOU AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE OR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

13. Changes to the site and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the site at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; the Effective date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time for any reason, including suspected misuse or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing law; venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana for any dispute not subject to informal resolution.
