Lauren Gonzales is an experienced solo and collaborative pianist from Texas and holds a B.M. and M.M. in piano performance from Hardin-Simmons University under the tutelage of Steinway artist and international performer Mark Puckett. As an undergraduate, Ms. Gonzales received the undergraduate award for highest average in music theory, was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honors Society, and was awarded as a Presser Scholar before graduating summa cum laude. As a graduate student, she also gained experience as a collaborative pianist accompanying choirs and solo vocalists/instrumentalists at all levels while running her own private piano studio.

Ms. Gonzales’s experience includes performing for musicals (including *The Secret Garden* and *My Fair Lady*), gigging at various events, directing and accompanying choirs, and teaching private piano lessons. Teaching has been her passion since she taught her first lesson in 2005, and many of her students have received state recognition for theory, compositional, and performance success, including success at UIL solo and ensemble.
