Both my daughters love piano after the first free lesson and want to practice all the time. My 5 year old had a blast and was engaged every minute. My 9 year old also loved it. Ms G. was wonderful at keeping them both engaged virtually and also ensuring they had fun at their own pace. We look forward to many more piano lessons.

I am so happy with my voice instructor, Julia! She is helping me to reach out of my comfort zone to fulfill a lifelong dream. Her style of teaching is so fun you forget you are learning. I can’t thank her and Kerry (Director of Client Engagement) enough for their patience and professionalism.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between online and in-person drum lessons?
Our 1-on-1 online drum lessons are similar to in-person lessons, except more affordable and more convenient. In-person drum lessons require you to visit the teacher’s lesson studio whereas online lessons can be simply set up with few digital equipments in the comfort of your home.
The average price for a half hour drum lesson in Buffalo is $35, although Lesson With You charges only $35. Live online lessons using Zoom or Skype charge between $25-50 for a half hour lesson. Local private one-on-one drum lessons range from $35-55 for a half hour lesson, while in-person group lessons can cost $20-25 for a half hour lesson.
Drum lesson pricing can vary widely depending on the teacher’s education, performing level and expertise, the location, years of teaching and lesson length. In-person private lessons typically charge more than online lessons, and the cost of individual or group drum lessons start as low as $20 per hour.
How old should children be before starting drum lessons?
We accept students age 5 and up, although students under 13 should have a parent in the room with them for successful drum lessons. For children who are young to read music right away, we encourage our teachers to provide a fun, easy musical instruction. This includes rhythm games, ear training, and even improvisation in order to develop your child’s musical abilities.
There are many sizes and types of drums or percussion available even for small children. Our support line is available to help you figure out what size drums, kits and lesson equipment are best for your child.
How do online drum lessons work for beginners?
First, it’s important that your drum instructor knows your personal goals and interests. What style are you looking for? Is it Pop or Rock? Do you like the songs of Bruno Mars or Maroon 5?
Then, our drum instructor will make recommendations from getting the right drum, lesson equipment and lesson book (if applicable). After scheduling a regular lesson, try practicing drum on a regular basis. There’s no rush – what matters for beginners is finding the right practice routine.
What do you learn in typical drum lessons?
In drum lessons, students will learn detailed instructions on the technical and artistic aspects of music. Students will learn drum technique and rhythm exercises along with some basic music theory and musical background of the repertoire.
During the lesson, drum teachers will give live feedback on how to improve the techniques and help the student understand the musical side of the music. At the end of each lesson, teachers will specifically assign the students which part of the music to work on. Students are expected to practice the music and fix the problematic areas before the next lesson. The more you improve the problems, overall music will sound more polished and you’ll gain confidence over time.
