When a Student is Late to a Lesson

There will be times when your clients arrive late to a lesson, and Lesson With You always strives to provide as close to an in-studio experience as possible. Therefore, instructors should:

● Remain on Zoom for half the scheduled lesson length

● If, after 5 minutes, your student has not arrived, instructors should (in this order):

1. Text the student
2. Call the student directly
3. Email the student

● If they arrive late, complete the lesson for the remaining amount of time. No partial refunds will be offered to the student. Do not extend the lesson to accommodate a late arrival, unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances and the instructor schedule can accommodate an extension.

● Should the client decline to complete the lesson in the remaining time and request a reschedule, they will be subject to the late cancellation policy and the second rescheduled lesson charge.

Reminder: Instructors are paid for the full duration of all paid lessons; therefore they should attempt to contact the student AND remain on Zoom for at least HALF the planned duration of the lesson. Students are charged in full for no-show paid lessons, so if they show up 30 minutes late to a 60 minute lesson, they will expect to be able to receive their 30 remaining minutes of instruction, and the same goes for other lesson lengths.
