With over nine years of teaching experience, Avis offers private and group lessons in both piano and violin to students from age four through retirees. Her students appreciate her warm, encouraging approach and her ability to adapt lessons to each learner’s goals, from building strong foundations to preparing for performances and exams.

Alongside her teaching, Avis maintains an active performance career, collaborating with instrumentalists and vocalists in masterclasses, competitions, and concert series across North America and Asia. She has served as staff pianist at The Music Settlement and Cleveland State University, and as teaching assistant at the Brevard Music Festival. Recent engagements include performing at the 2025 Académie at the Institut Canadien d’Art Vocal in Montréal.
