A native from Madrid, Spain, violinist Sandra Rubio developed her studies at the
Conservatorio Profesional Arturo Soria in Madrid where she graduated with
honors. After being granted with a full scholarship of studies she moved to United
States where she received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Lynn University
Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music Degree from University of Miami
Frost School of Music in violin performance.

As a versatile musician and educator Mrs. Rubio also has a passion for teaching
and couching. She has worked with schools and organizations such as Sobe School
of the Arts or Florida Youth Orchestra in the STEPS program, an after school
program designed to provide music education to lower income communities.

Besides her private violin studio Mrs.Rubio has hold positions as violin and
chamber music instructor at St. Mark’s Episcopal School. It was the Conductor
during three years of Greater Miami Youth Symphony, Young Mozarts division.
She has been to present day the main strings teacher Carrollton School of the
Sacred Heart for the last seven years.

As a performer she has been a member of National Orchestra of Dominican
Republic (guest violinist), Symphony of the Americas, Boca Symphonia and
Miami City Ballet. Mrs. Rubio is currently tutti violin of South Florida Symphony
Orchestra, Punta Gorda Symphony and Miami Symphony.

As a recording artist she has appeared in recordings for Universal and Sony. She
has also collaborated in live performances with artist such as Bobby McFerrin,
Chick Corea, Marc Anthony or Laura Pausini among others.
