About Gabriella
Gabriella’s musical journey began at a young age, when she discovered the piano at the age of five. With a natural sense for music, she taught herself how to play by ear, despite not knowing how to read sheet music. As she progressed through grade school, her passion for music expanded to writing her own compositions. At 10, she began formal piano lessons, but it was the saxophone that eventually captured her heart, becoming her primary instrument.
Now, Gabriella is an active performer based in Chicago. She continues to work on musical projects both in Europe and the United States. Her original music can be heard in the Chicago-based film Ahyoka River.
Her musical education includes a bachelor’s degree in saxophone performance from the University of Colorado. She has been primarily mentored by Tom Myer, with additional instruction from respected musicians like Dr. J Michael-Weiss-Holmes, Dr. Geof Bradfield, Ernie Watts, Rick Margitza, Plume, and Brad Goode.
